This is a somewhat difficult installation requiring approximately 2 hours of labor & final calibration. It is very important to verify no mechanical failure exists within the steering column before replacing this part. A loose or clunking steering column intermediate shaft should be repaired or replaced before diagnosing or installing this part. Also, the vehicle manufacturer may have technical service bulletins and a special calibration procedure for a successful repair. It is recommended to have a dealership install this part or at least use the latest service manual for a proper installation.
