This new HID control module is designed for use as a replacement to a failed HID module. This is a simple pug and play replacement. The original HID module typically fails due to voltage spike. Voltage spikes canoccur from jump starting and other incorrect service procedures. It is strongly recommended to use only OE Xenon light bulbs and a proper OE approved battery and alternator. Aftermarket parts can be less specific from the original units and cause trouble with your HID system. A dashboard image of a light may appear on your dashboard when you have an HID problem. A proper diagnosis by a dealership is strongly recommended.
