Key Fobs

A key fob is attached to the keyring of modern vehicles and is a part of the keyless remote entry system, also called remote central locking. It transmits a randomly generated access code to the car via radio waves. The most common problem with a key fob is simply that the battery dies and needs to be replaced. However, when fobs are lost or damaged, it may be necessary to purchase and program replacements. Most fobs can easily be programmed by following the steps in the instructions. Low battery lights often need to be reset within the vehicle after a new battery or new fob is installed. Installing a new battery may not remove the low battery light.
